What does it take to win in tennis? Here is what Maria Sakkari said:

Sakkari was asked in her on-court interview after the match about the fire she showed throughout her two-hour, 35-minute victory against the red-hot Kudermetova.

“Without fire you cannot win these matches—without heart, without courage, without just going for it and being brave,” she said. “You cannot get these opportunities, you cannot win them, you cannot do things like the one today.” (Source: tennis.com)

What do we have to win at life?

In Hebrews 12:1-2 we are told to “run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus.” 2 Timothy 1:7 proclaims, “For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

What is this power to run with endurance?

The Greek word dunamis in the Bible generally means “power, force, or ability. This Greek word dunamis is where the English words “dynamite” and “dynamic” originate. Paul wanted Timothy to know that God had given him, through the Spirit, the dynamite ability to stand strong in the faith and the dynamic skill to share that faith with others.

When you walk onto the court of life with the power of the Spirit, know that your have the dynamite power to win on God’s terms.
