The game of tennis is full of surprises. Some good, some bad. The same may be said of revelations. For example, I have learned through painful losses that my skills and success at tennis are far less than I expected, given a lifetime of athletic activity. On the other hand, the game—its capacity to capture my imagination and joy—along with new friends and hours of laughter have exceeded all expectations. 

What revelations have you experienced lately? What has been made known to you in your life beyond the baseline and alley? The season of Epiphany, the manifestation of Jesus Christ to the world, and its most visual representation, the Magi, are a call to us to be alert to the highest revelations that can shape our lives for the better.
